Old school 70s polyester knit only much thicker.

Holy 70s polyester knit fabric. The jacket is well made, lined, and nicely structured, but the fabric completely misses the mark for me. The construction is solid: you put this on, and that is exactly where it will stay. However, it is a very heavy polyester knit which is far too heavy a fabric for a 3/4-sleeve summer jacket. The material is thick and lacks the drape that makes a jacket look elegant. Instead of flowing with the body, it feels molded and somewhat plastic-like. It might be better suited to pants. If you're nostalgic for old-school polyester suiting, you may love it. I was hoping for something lighter, softer, and more modern.
