Gorgeous lightweight blanket

I have not bought or used a blanket in years. We have been a quilt family and all of our quilts are light cotton homemade quilts, so we just double up in the winter. But we just purchased a big fluffy comforter and that obviously won't work for summer nights, even in Minnesota. I love cotton, so that was a no-brainer. It's cozy and never makes you sweat or feel sticky like some man-made materials can. We have never been happier with our purchase. The blanket is sublime. It has a silky feel that is also substantial. It feels thick and sturdy even though it is lightweight and is not going to fall apart in the wash. It was soft and lovely the moment we took it out of the package - no odor or chemical smell at all. I threw it in the dryer to give it a little air and didn't even wash it. I've read about lots of cotton blankets shedding tons of lint, but this one had none. Perfect summer weight and we'll leave it on year round.
