Poor waist band

I am compelled to share my considerable dissatisfaction regarding the design and overall functionality of these shorts. A primary concern lies with the waistband's drawstrings; they are unequivocally decorative rather than functional. Despite their appearance, they offer no discernible ability to tighten or adjust the waist, creating a misleading impression of customizability. There’s inadequate strength of the waistband's elastic. It simply does not possess the necessary tension or resilience to keep the shorts securely in place during even light movement or prolonged wear. This leads to constant readjustment, an uncomfortable fit, and a distinct lack of confidence in the garment's stability. Considering these fundamental design shortcomings, which directly impede the shorts' intended purpose of providing a secure and comfortable fit, I find myself unable to recommend this product. They regrettably fall short of basic functional expectations for athletic or casual attire.
