Good brush, but doesn't last

I've had 2 of these brushes and, unfortunately, I need to purchase a 3rd. The brushes last for about a year and then the bristles start to fall out rapidly. I only clean the bristles, and keep it bristle-side down to dry. This doesn't make a difference, the brushes still falls apart. When it is new, it is a great brush and applies the cc cream very evenly. The small end is perfect for around the eyes.

Depending on the quality and the care you show them, makeup brushes can last anywhere from a year to a decade. Routinely cleaning your makeup brushes can help them last longer, so aim for once-weekly washing to keep them in tip-top shape. When cleaning your brush Be careful not to get water into the top of the ferrule, as this can deteriorate the glue which will cause separation from the brush head and the handle. Rinse brushes until the water runs clear. Gently re-shape brushes and let them air dry lying flat. We hope this is helpful and we appreciate your feedback!

Getting Better…

I’ve used these brushes for YEARS now. My biggest complaint has been the sustainability of the actual bristles many times I have had them fall apart all over my face. Even on the drive to work in middle of all the chaos here I am spitting out bristles and picking them off my face. BUT the production of the newest brush is proving me wrong. Can’t wait to see what’s to come!!

Nice at first but didnt last

Love this brush but didnt last half as long as my other brushes, I've had it for less than a year and the bristles started out shedding and then small clumps, its no longer usable. :(

We know how much you love our brushes, and they are definitely designed to last much longer than a year, so we are incredibly disappointed to hear about the shedding and clumping. As a quick tip for the future, when washing your makeup brushes, we always recommend keeping the water and cleanser strictly on the brush tips and avoiding the metal base (the ferrule). If water gets trapped inside the base, it can weaken the glue and cause the bristles to shed in clumps.

Fine but nothing amazing

I have been using previous It Cosmetics brushes that I got promotionally with my foundation up until now. My brushes finally were needing updated and so I made the purchase for this one. It's fine, and does the job, I just don't love it as much as my previous brushes from them. This one feels less substantial and cheaper. The brush itself does the job though, and I do like that this one has the dual sides for smaller areas.

worth the $$

i so didn’t want to love this brush because i didn’t want to admit to paying so much for a brush, BUT it actually is so good and my other brushes just don’t stand up to it at all. i can tell this is a brush that is going to last for years to come and will likely save me money in the long run because i wont have to replace it every couple of years. high praise!!

Heavenly brush broke in half

There are 2 brushes, a big one and a small one on the other end. The big brush is working great, however, the 2 brushes separated where they were joined by a metal crimp. I used it twice before it separated. Gorilla Glue did not work to rejoin the 2 parts. I'm disappointed.
