The potent core of SG2 micro-carbide powder steel is layered in a Tsuchime finish. This exquisite, hand-hammered effect helps prevent food from sticking. Each knife features a hand-honed blade finished with a true katana edge, a homage to the samurai swords made in Seki centuries ago. Fabricated with special Cocobolo Rosewood pakkawood, the handles mirror the beauty of the blade. Sophisticated details include brass and red spacers, a mosaic pin and a stainless steel end cap. The attractive D-shaped handle is designed to nestle comfortably in your hand for tireless cutting. Handcrafted in Seki, Japan.

As beautiful as it cuts.

As usual, Miyabi has crafted a wonderful knife. Handle feels very natural and balanced in the hand. Cuts spectacularly well. We have high hopes for the durability of the SG2 blade steel.

Highly recommend

This is easily the nicest knife I have ever even touched. So sharp out of the box it glides through whatever you’re cutting like butter. The construction is amazing quality, balance is perfect right at the notch, not to mention both the blade and handle are absolutely beautiful

Beautiful knife set

I wish the knife block could grow with any other large knives we buy (smaller knives fit). But overall this came incredibly well packaged, with amazing knives. I'm very happy with this purchase. The handles feel comfortable in my hand, and everything is very well constructed.
